Anybody have any clues about why double clicking on cab files yeilds no results? Any cab file on my system I double click shows nothing in the right pane at all, like there are no files present. I know there are files.

You need Cabview Utility to view .cabs in 98x. Check the software section at this
site. It is a power toy from Microsoft.
