zdnet has a utility called slice that allows you through a DOS prompt to divide a
file into equal parts which will each fit onto a disk, and will add a small splice
utility to one of the disks to allow you to put the file back together on another
computer. This is a free utility.

I use file breaker, it also creates a .bat file to reconstuct all the disks, you
set how much you want on each disk...freeware, the links below

filesplitter lets you do it in the GUI

It's much easier to use WinZip, which most people have already.
