Not enough info.
Did you add any hardware to your computer lately?
If you did not add any new hardware to your computer latley then look at the properties->resources
tab for that "unknown" device and post what resources it's using.

Hi, Were you able to solve this problem. I am also having
a similar problem under USB devices. They keep coming
up even if I remove from device manager. Can you please
post the resolution if you have done that.

The answer is...GET RID OF THEM (if you can) - it's almost certainly a driver issue
- Question - Add any new hardware lately?
If so, you need to load the new drivers/software for the device (there should be
a CD that came with the device) - if the device is not plug-n-play compatible (or
has asked for the driver CD and you ignored it) then will need to first remove the
device from Device Manager and then go to Add New Hardware in Control Panel and manually
install the device, or simply update driver from Device Manager (I outlined the procedure
below).
If not, there is a problem - could be software or hardware.
TRY THIS - go to Safe Mode and remove the unknown devices and any drivers with multiple
copies (ghost drivers) and remove any devices with an exclamation point on them -
remove them all (all copies), then reboot and see if Windows detected the new hardware
properly - if there is still an unknown device, you can try highlighting the device,
choose properties/ driver tab/ update driver - when windows asks to detect new hardware,
tell it "no" and pick the device from the list. Obviously, you will need to know
what device is being seen as "unknown" - I have seen modems detected as unknown PCI
serial bus controllers - if you're not sure, and haven't added hardware, what components
on the system have you had problems with? Those components may be the culprits. Also,
try updating the drivers from the manuafacturers web site. If still no luck, you
may have a hardware failure, but this should be evident.
