I'm not sure if this is related, but here goes: If the cancel button is pressed on our W98SE dial-up connection, the 'connect automatically' checkbox clears, stopping the auto email checking facility. It's driving me crazy . . . Thanks

Try "Dunce", it may provide a work around for your problem. http://www.vecdev.com/dunce.html Roy

Thanks Roy, I tried Dunce but we need the cancel button to work properly.
