i am having the same problem as in a previous question- my filenames look like logow.sys.bmp, but I can't rename them in explorer. Renaming with a dos command was suggested but I don't know how to do that so if that could be explained, it would help a lot.

Nevermind! I just looked it up myself, did it, and it worked. very simple and effective. I don't know why explorer wouldn't allow it, but a dos prompt did.

Most likely because you have "Hide Know file extensions" checked. Phil
