Doesn't sound like the method I use, it shouldn't have anything to do with "Like
this folder".

I am assuming you mean when you open the Windows folder, you have to click "Show
Files" in the left pane, to view the other files etc.

OK do that and click on "Show Files".

Now you can see all the files in Windows.

Now on the toolbar in the Windows folder, select View, then un-check the "as Web
Page" option.

The Windows folder will now show all files permanently, without having to click the
"Show Files".

The "System" folder is the same, so open the System folder and click on "Show Files"
and again on the System folder toolbar, click View and un-check the "as Web Page"
option.

Thats it.

I don't know any reason you would want to enter the Windows folder so often that
you would need to remove the warning. One click and thats it. It is there for a reason.

Yeah its there for a reason, but not for everyone. Just like the government, trying to overprotect us from ourselves. There is a DAMN good reason. Some of us are not stuck to mice for comfort and actually use the keyboard.

what would useing the keyboard have to do with opening the Windows folder? I don't use the keyboard because I have a very short memory and can't remember the commands. Not like genius' like yourself who probably can remember what they did many years back. Sometimes I can't even remember what I had for diner the night before.

Ever here of the explorer? Don't have to be a rocket scientist to hit 'W' to go to windows, _enter_ to open it, and then what? You have that stupid link, and I have to find my mouse under the BBQ ribs I had for dinner the night before. All I'm saying is, the guy wants to know how to do it. Period. That WAS the idea of outr USofA, but now, we have to be overprotected and be told it is good reason? I work on my computer to tweak it, fix it, etc. The guy who started the thread is also. THATS why we need to be in the windows folder so often, in fact, thats the whole damn idea of this site! So why are you questioning, instead of helping? In addition, your problem is your memory, mine is laziness. So lets mutually accept our problems and let people do what they WANT!

Yeah Right? My turn to be stupid. Whatever do you mean? As far as I'm concerned, if windows is just 'perfect' the way it is, then what the hell are you doing here? Might as well just cut to the chase, eh?

Windows is far from perfect. I try to help people if I can. I have very few problems with my machines. No major ones at all. I have tweaked so much that I don't even remember them all. So you aren't the only person who tunes up Windows. I hardly ever have to go into the Windows folder. I doubt I could get there with the keyboard as I am too stupid.
