Question about 'Stop Windows from Wildly Accessing your Hard Disk'

After installing Norton Systems Works 2002, my harddrive got very busy, like all
the time. I had previously set virtual memory to 2.5 x Ram (256mb ram), but somehow,
Norton changed it to let Windows manage it. So I changed it again. I also defragged
and made the vcache changes to system.ini. After rebooting, my harddrive is still
being wildly accessed. What gives???

Whenever a new program misbehaives, un & reinstall,
Also on large programs make sure you defrag first so
the files aren't scattered all over the drive.

I have experenced the same problem. I am about ready to do a full system restore
and forget norton system works.
Has anyone come up with a fix for the constant hard drive access? I sure would like
to know if there is something other that a full system restore.

If you are sure it's Norton then unistall it. I don't use it any more, and don't
miss it.
