I followed the directions and now have my Start Programs in multiple columns. However, I can't read the program names in the right-most column because they are off the screen. Any way to change the column width so all the programs are visible? (I typed this question in above, but obviously it didn't work. Thanks for asking again.)

Did you ever find the answer to modifying the column width? I have the same problem! It's driving me crazy.

The problem of excessively wide columns in the start menu results from an individual menu item with a very long name. Locate the offending name and abbreviate it! All columns will then shrink to their former state and will no longer overflow the screen width. Simple!!
