I have a question about Getting
Rid of the Network Neighborhood/My Network Places Icon:

Solution on Windows 98 Network Neighborhood. Copy Poledit folder from CD to C:\Program Files. Load up poledit.exe. Go to Options then Policy Templates and add all the templates click OK. Open File and select Open Registry. Click Local User Go to Windows 98 System and Open Go to Shell, Restrictions Check Hide Network Neighborhood Click OK and Save Restart Windows

In addition to what Dick said, simply remove the Client for MS Networks component
in the Network applet. It's not needed at all.

No registry editing, or anything else is necessary. It's very simple! You don't have
to go through a big deal. The Client components is what puts it there in the first
place.
