(1005 messages posted) hi, just go to Control Panel > Sounds icon, and in Events box find and hi-lite "Welcome", then below choose "none" , or make another Sound selection. Hit Apply. As long as you're there, you can change other sound events you find annoying. Have fun. I don't understand the word you used to describe it, but.... You should be able to either change it or select none in the Sound applet in the Control Panel. Go to Start - Settings - Ctrl. Panel, then double click to open the Sound icon. A .wav file is run as the the intro screen comes up.
