Have your 98 disk ready....
Go to :

START > RUN > type SFC

Use "Extract One File from installation disk"

in the box type in dfs.vxd

drop in your 98 disk....

save the extracted file to C:\Windows\System

reboot your computer

all should be well.

Good Luck
