Are you responding outside of someone's original thread or just trying to add a tip
to the
forum's link?

I edited msconfig.exe by enabling fast shutdown. This created the problem of the
system restarting on selecting shutdown.
I therefore re-ran c:\windows\system\msconfig.exe, and selected the radio button,
advanced. I clicked on the box next to disable fast shutdown thus re-entering the
tick, then restarted as prompted.
