What else can you use to open an application instead of using Win Zip to install.
I did'nt put this crap on my computer and it was just fine without it. Now I want
to download a n application and it tell's me I have to purchase a copy to do this.
I tried to save it to Temp but I keep getting an order form for this Win Zip Crap.

Can you read through what you've written and make sure that's what you meant to say
- it's hard to understand what you're saying.
The first sentence is entirely nonsensical, I'm not sure what WinZip has to do with
stopping you from downloading files, and if you don't want WinZip on your PC, why
don't you just uninstall it?

Hay! Thank's alot, Deke, I did'nt put this winzip application on my machine, and don't
remember me installing it. I had my machine in for repair's and maybe the tech put
in the download without my permission. That's about all I can conclude. Thank's alot
for your input, and does this free zip work well, that's all I ask. Again Thanks!

I've never tried FreeZip but just downloaded it no to have a try. I have put EnZip
3.0 (also freeware) on a '98se and it works perfectly if you find that you don't
like FreeZip. EnZip 3.0
Iain.

Hank, Winzip is an excellent program. What do they want for you to register it? $25
or something like that. It's well worth it. I used Arj for many years, which was
also excellent, but Winzip is better.
I'd think hard before you go off looking for alternatives.

"This crap" is probably the single most widely used and
respected shareware program in the world.

WinZip is shareware and it is possible to use it "for evaluation" without paying.
As others say, it is a great program.
