Question about 'Learn to Explore with Folders'

I have a question about Learn
to Explore with Folders:
I am running Me. In order to adjust Folder Options and Settings, one starts in TOOLS.
There is a general section which clearly asks you wether you want to open a new
window in a same/new window.
My problem is that I have a friend who is using Win 98. To start Folder Options you
start in VIEW and the is no option for viewing folders in the same window etc.
The article is assuming that setting this option is the same for Win 98, Me, 2000
and XP, which is clearly not the case.
I would appreciate it if some one could assist me with the correct porcedure for
exercisinfg the option to view folders in the SAME window for Windows 98 and 98 2nd,
edition.
Thanks.

Open Folder Options under the View menu and select the General tab. Select "Custom,
based on settings you choose," then click on the settings tab. You should see an
option to "Open each folder in the same window" in the second section. Hope this
helps.

Thanks for the response. What you have told me holds for Win ME; not Win 98. Cheers
