Question about 'Have Windows Power Down Your Computer Automatically'

I have a question about Have
Windows Power Down Your Computer Automatically:
I would love to set my computer at work to automatically shut down. However, I cannot
get into the BIOS by pressing the delete key during boot up. Is there another way
for me to get into the BIOS? AND.....one more question...for my home computer.
My computer is approximately 4 years old...and doesn't seem to have the newer-style
ATX case and motherboard. Is there anyway to shut it down automatically IF the power
button DOES stay in when you press it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

try holding down the f2 key, or hit the escape key as many times as you while booting
can sometimes work, if you could tell us your bios manufacturer we could tell you
more.

BIOS manufacturer? Ummm...that's getting in a little deeper than I know about.
I have a Compaq Presario 5635. Does that help?

F10 is a probable key to press to enter the Bios settings. The user manual might
have some info.
When you first turn the PC on, and you see Compaq in large red letters, a cursor
should be visible in the top righthand corner of the Monitor screen, press the F10
repeatedly when you see that cursor to enter the Bios.
It might a little bit tricky at first.
Or try F1, F2, F12, if F10 fails.
The Bios make is probably Award, you can see the make on the first screen you see
when you turn the PC on.
eg. Award, Ami, Phoenix, etc.
I dont know of any solution to your Home PC except a new ATX case and Motherboard
to suit.
