Question about 'Troubleshooting Driver Problems'

hi there.
i've just installed a Creative Modem Blaster v90 PCI DI6655. after installing the
driver from the CD, it works fine under windows 98. but once you restart the pc,
each time you try to connect to the net, windows freezes. i tried to reinstall the
driver, same prob.
Anyone can help?
p.s the modems works fine on windows XP.
