Dial-Up: cannot connect netzero.net

Netzero.net (free ISP) uses its own browser for Internet connection.
Query:Why I cannot connect to Netzero.net (I have an account already setup and is
active) when the Dial-Up Connection pops up on my desktop?
I have tried everything, checked the settings many a times, consulted netzero online
help (their error message is: "error 691, the computer you're dialing in to cannot
establish a Dial-Up networking connection. Check your password and then try again".
Help!

While i cannot offer any suggestions, it is possible that Netzero supports Windows
Dial-up networking. If that is the case, then you do not have to use ther propreitary
connection software or browser. THis is also the case with MSN and Earthlink (althoough
they do not come out and tell you), but it is not the case with AOL/Compuserve. Go
to the Netzero site and look up connection issues, or contact them and find out if
they support windows dial up networking (making your own connectiod.) I just think
it is more simple.

RR: when entering your Member ID in the NetZero logon window; enter only the portion
to the left of @netzero.net
NetZero passwords are also case sensitive.
try deleting your password and entering it again.
check to see if your access number has been changed;
go to: http://gold.netzero.net/servlets/numbers
check to see if a new patch or upgrade is available;
go to: http://gold.netzero.net/servlets/signup
for more tweaks to try; see the link below after your text.
