You must go to any directory and choose view>folder options>view and select show
all files then start>find>files & folders and look for the files. Two are in the
windows directory and one is in the root I think.

logo.sys is in the root directory, and logow.sys and logos.sys are in a windows system
folder. Just do a search for them after changing to view all files. If you want to
change screens there is a nice small program free called WinL. I have used it for
quite some time.

re: easy way to change the Ugly Startup and Shutdown Screens

open the the two files logo.sys and logow.sys in paint brush(of windows).
now be carefull that the size of the picture of both the above files is not changed.
now replace the images with your picture keeping the same size.
save it and restart the system and you will get your pictures at the startup and
shut down.
