Sorry for doubting you :) Hey, sometimes it's an easy one. I'm not real up on laptops, but have you checked in your BIOS? I've had a couple of PCs with power management inside there. Perhaps one of those settings. Reboot your machine, hit del key before the memory finishes it's count, and once inside the BIOS, find what you're looking for. If it's a fairly recent machine, it should be clearly marked. Be careful not to disturb any other settings. BIOS isn't for the faint of heart. After changing the setting you want, if that's the culprit, escape once or twice should give you the option to 'save changes and exit', or a menu item will give you the same depending on which version of BIOS you have. The computer should reboot again, hopefully you're off and runnin'...
