Question about 'What to Throw Away'

I have a question about What
to Throw Away:
i have two large files on my C drive 1.72GB each called Esf2 and Esf3 after a re-install
of win 98SE.
Can anyone tell me what the files are?
Can I deleat the files?
If so this would give me 3.44 GB more room[ which i need] on my hard drive.
Thanks

These files are most definitely not created by Office.
How I know this:
If you format a new hard drive after booting from floppy or the Windows CD then reboot
to the same CD with "boot from CD" and then "boot with CDROM support" this file is
created. What it contains is a mystery but is something probably not crucial to your
system's normal operation and has nothing to do in any way shape or form with Office.
Just thought I'd clear that up.
