I found an error message regarding bmeb.dll. It blocked access to My Documents, My Computer and also My Control Panel. I downloaded spybot but it did not remove the problem. I also noted a new toolbar in my IE. How do I remove this unwanted toolbar? And spidersearch hijack my search button. Any ideas? Thank you. Julie

If you get alot of pop-ups and redirects you may have it installed. But if you want
to make sure you do, download and run Hijack This, then save the log. Look at the
entries R1, you should see something like this:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.spidersearch.com/frame_results.php

Either way, just download and run the uninstall program, won't do any harm.

You should also have Spybot running on your system, it looks for spy/adware. Just
make sure you update it first before you run it, online/check for updates, then check
for problems/delete selected problems, delete all it finds. Don't forget to hit the
immunize button also, this prevents problems.
Spyware Blaster is another program you should have installed on your system, it prevents
problems.
AVG free is the anti-virus I use with great success.
Update these programs weekly or more.
AVG*free
HiJackThis
SpyBot
SpywareBlaster
Here's a free Pop-up stopper also
PopUpStopper-free

none of those patches were able to get rid of my spider search toolbar. im not sure why but after i run the uninstaller, then close all IE windows, it is still there. Also, is there a link between spider search and some very annoying popups i get from "odysseus marketing" "mega-shopping" or "next-aisle"?
