i just want to know how can i rename my start button in windows98 & xp to someother
name.
that is start should be displayed as begin or any thing

Brian's program is only for XP.In 98 you need to
hack explorer.exe, cos that's where the text is stored. Or you can use third-party
software. EppieDesktop lets you replace the text with a small bitmap or gif image
(if it's still available)

the file logow.sys and logos.sys in windows98

Start Button Renamer at this site...
http://www.geocities.com/startbtn/
Open logow.sys/logos.sys with paint.
Don't change the image size or format.
Just paint whatever you want and save.
That's it.

their program... renamed with no problems =)
