Question about 'Use Quick View with Any File'

I tried3-4 solutions provided by annoyances.org with regard to enabling QuickView.
I cannot get a preview ovf my folder items any longer as I did in the past. I cannot
seem to figure out why either.
Would any of you know about replacing my current Win98 Plus with just WIN98...would
that lose all my files and folders, or just replace the operating system?
