Download the CWShredder tool towards the bottom of this page and run it. If you get a message saying 'A required dll, MSVBVM60.DLL, was not found', install this first: Direct download: VB 6 Runtime Libraries from Microsoft The CoolWebSearch Chronicles: The story of a thousand hijacks Direct download to the Shredder: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip Be sure to close all browser windows before running the Shredder. Note, this trojan may execute again after rebooting. Keep the tool on hand. He updates it frequently, so check for an update at least once a week. It took all of about 10 mins to sort and my home page now stays put each time I reboot. Thanks again. Thank you - my browser had been hijacked by Globe Finder for 2 months; Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy could only delete it for a single session.
