I am trying to send a 3 Sec AVI file of Me (recorded on my Webcam) by E Mail attachment. It
starts sending but never stops. I have to shut my net connection to stop it. What
am I doing wrong?
I use Win 98 Pen 3 Microsoft Outlook and both I and the person I am sending to have
Broadband
Thanks for any Ideas

If you know how to send attachments, it should go.
However, you might try zipping it, since you are having
problems.
Whether any advice given to you has worked or not
worked. Whether you are thankful or don't give a
darn.....this is a forum, post back. We want to know
how it went!

Even if what you say is true for the AVI file, once it is
zipped it is fully compressed and contained inside the
ZIP format.
My only other suggestions: How big is the AVI? There
are usually maximum files sizes allowed. You might
check to see if that is too big.
Do you have any other email? Such as Yahoo for
instance. Try sending it from there to see if it is
possible.
Start looking at some program preventing it from
going. Anti-virus, firewall, pop-up blocker are a few
that come to mind. Turn those off and see if it makes
any difference.
Do you have a problem with any other larger
attachments? You might try converting the AVI to
another format - there is freeware available. Check
Google.
