i am using MS Works and Works Suite 2000. in both programs Word will no longer open. None of my Word documents will open. when i right click on a word document, the first option is 'quick view' instead of 'open'. apparently both winword.exe and AW.DLL are missing. quick view does open the document but i cannot edit or print the document. when i try to open a new Word document i get a message that says: cannot access; files needed to start the program may be missing, deleted, or corrupted; to restore, reinstall. first time i reinstalled i got message: setup is unable to register tasks. i tried reinstalling 2nd time, did not get register message but word documents still cannot be opened or started. spreadsheets are not affected. HELP!

The problem is likely to be the normal.dot file. The procedure is described in this
link. Troubleshooting-Word
