Try fdisk at the A:\>. After that try format, but only format c: /s. If you're reinstalling W98, you don't need the system files to be on the hard drive first. Windows Setup will prepare the hard drive for booting by copying the correct system files as required. You need to ensure, however, that Fdisk has properly marked the partition as "active". However, if you insist,...
