Uninstalling an old ISP

Hi, I have an ISP that came pre-installed on my computer, which I no longer use.
Since it was already on the computer, there is no "uninstall" option available.
I was wondering how to go about uninstalling the files, as well as deleting the
e-mail address in Outlook Express, for which I no longer remember the password.
Thanks, Cheryl

Well,is this a dial up?If it is then it's simply settings and login passwords etc.,connecting
to your modem. Not really any bulky files needed to look to get rid of.Outlook, got
to tools in the gui,>accounts and then delete any accouts you don't need.

In windows explorer, C:\program files,
& look for the name of the ISP. Highlight it, delete it. (you sure you checked control
panel>>add/remove programs for the old ISP )

Hi, thanks for the quick responses.
I checked control panel>>add/remove programs, but the ISP is not on the list for
some reason. I thought it wouldn't work to just delete it out of programs, but I'll
go that route.
I will also, try to directly remove the unused account from Outlook. The last time
I tried, it asked for a password, which I didn't remember. I've heard it's difficult
to retrieve passwords from the hard drive.
Thanks again!

To ditch your old email account: Make note of actual account name.
Then >>start>>run & type in regedit
>>edit>> find & type in account name>>>search
When found, delete key value & search for next
(there should be 6 keys found which need to be deleted)
