I have a question about Clean up your hard disk:

I have a question on what to throw away. i have a large amount of files,each about 9mb, they open in word pad, the names are letters ,here are two , Aabddgfp,Amagdaap. i wanted to know if they can be deleted, they take up gb's of space, they are in the windows folder. thank you for any help you can give, Janet

It'll be better if you give us more details like: the extension of the files, what you see in Word and other programs installed on your computer. Well, the best way is to move all those files in a different folder and wait for a couple of days. If your comp runs fine, u can safely delete them, otherwise, restore them to their original location.

they had no file extention. so id moved them and then check all for working,all was ok so I deleted them. 5gbs. thank you for answering,, janet

All files have an extension but the dopey windows default settings hide them. To show them go My computer> view>folder options>view then uncheck the hide extensions for known file types.
