Question about 'How do I stop a program from running whenever I start Windows?'

I have a question about win 98.A friend of mine has win98.whenever she turns the
thing on from boot it automaticly logs onto the internet with a load of continous
pop ups that she cant get rid of.Cant get to her home page or anything.Help!

Try.
Start-Run-type in MSCONFIG-click start up tab-untick programs not required to start

Most likely, she has a spyware on her system. If it's a "dialer", and she is on dial-up,
she better hurry, because her phone bill will skyrocket.

in addition try looking at a program called 'started'. located at www.outertech.com
