I'm sure WinZip has this option, otherwise reinstalling the programs may be necessary. The settings are in the registry, and this may have been caused by a corrupt key. Agree that the problem is somewhere in the registry to do with a corrupt key but which one - any ideas? Would love to have a gander at it! In the meantime, have reinstalled some of the programs which has rectified the menu options when right-clicking on files (remember though that the options were already ok for folders...). Found another right-hand click registry entry at: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers The values for the programs under these keys must be generated in a way not familiar to me 'cos I couldn't make heads or tails out of it. Some have an option to enable/disable this feature. When they all appear missing as in your case, it's usually related to poor programing. When you uninstall an application, it attempts to remove it's own context menu entry. If the program was poorly written, it can wipe out the complete list (registry key). I've definitely learned something from all this! I wonder if any others have experienced this with Spybo ?
