I have a question about Why
can't I start Windows when I boot from a floppy?:
After I reformatted my computer, when I put in the boot disk it asks me to type a
command for A:/ and when I try to start without the floppy it asks me to type a command
for C:/ I tried to go to windows using C:/windows/ and then WIN but get a response
of "not a valid file command" . Do I need to reinstall windows, since everything
on the C Drive is wiped from the reformatting? If so how do I do that. I am at
a total loss and would appreciate any help. Thanks so much

Yes Christina, you need to reinstall windows. Follow the directions of the other
post here. My input:
pay attention to the syntax of commands entered at the DOS prompt. Your prompt should
have been A:\, not A:/
I'm not trying to be picky, this is important.
