I was wondering if there is a way to perform a destructive recovery on my windows 98 laptop for a friend. I don't know if it is call something different on 98 from XP and I've only ever done it to my XP computer. I would greatly appreciate help and soon becuase my friend is off to Scotland on Friday (9/10). Additionally, I believe the laptop was Windows 95, undated to Windows 98. Thanks in advance

Ryan,
I think what you are referring to is the Format you get
when you place the RESTORE CD in, that came with
the P.C. when it was new. There is an option, usually,
that you can choose from such CD's, on the recovery
issue, It is to put the machine back the way it was
originally when it was first purchased.
