Suggest uninstalling it, then get the latest updated version. May be best to uninstall in Safe Mode because of the error message. Restart holding down the ctrl key, from the menu select Safe Mode. Why is it running? Also, check your settings, do you use Internet Options retrictions? If you have SpyBot-S&D installed: click Immunize, and uncheck I.E. Control Panel lock.
