Sorry but what a load of nonsense, You don't don't need to do any of that tech. stuff.
To change win98 start button to ANY colour,font,wording OR BMP picture all you need
is a tiny little program called star toys.It's not supported anymore but still available
on the developers Web site,

Without the desire people have to know how to do something without simply running
some prog, there wouldn`t be any programs because there wouldn`t be any programmers.
