Question about 'Print Out a Directory Listing'

I have a question about Print Out a Directory Listing:

I have just started a new job which has a lot of precident files on the hard drive. I would like to know how to print a list of the files and folders in the directories so I can check them off as I go along. The Operating System is Windows 98, the processing is Word 2000, no CD burner...3.25" drive, at home I have Windows XP, CD burner and 3.25" drive. The computer I work with has no (yet!) Internet access so how do I do it? I just want a printed (hard) copy of what is on "My Computer". As I said, I just started a new job and the computer is a mess. I am sending this from my home computer looking for help. Thanks in advance. Jacquie

Have you tried the recommendations in Print
>Out a Directory Listing
? They should satisfy your requirement. As far as Interenet access is concerned it depends on how you wish to connect. If you are on a network and the network has access to the Internet then just run Internet connection wizard using the LAN options. If your PC is not networked then you will need dial up or DSL or cable modem connection and a relevant ISP.

Karen Kenworthy has a tool called Directory Printer. "Print the names, and other
information, of all folders and files on your computer."

I use a little easy-to-use program called rjh extensions which I acquired as freeware
a while back. With this you can customise what you want added to the right-click
(context) menu. I have it so that I can easily just right click in a folder and save
the text file of the list of everything in that folder.
There are about 5 or 6 other options too, including an encryption one, and like I
say, it's very easy to use.

Manuel.
