my desktop icons are corrupted but some will work. I tried the shelliconcache thing but it did not work. also the icons inside my control panel will not respond. I have everyhting i know . Maybe someone can tell me what to do????

Hi,

For years now, I've been using the utility below to 
fix any W98 icon problems that I have. There's no link 
to it anymore on the Skylark Utilities website, but the
download link still works.  :-)

Tweak UI has a Rebuild Icons option.
