If this is a Windows Logon and not BIOS related, one of these links should help.

Get
Rid of the Logon Screen

Deleting
the Windows Logon "Password Prompt"

How
to Prevent a Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Me Logon Prompt at Startup

Hello JmC, I was folliowing this strand since I too have had trouble getting rid of the Login Dialogue box. I followed the directions of the links you provided. I was able to have the dialogue box not show up. WooHoo!HOWEVER, I now have a dialogue box preceding my Outlook Express 6 email which I never have had before nor intentionally initiated. So now I can't get into my email. Any ideas on how to de-commission this new and unwanted Password requirement? Thanks in advance. Bob
