Problem with accessing network folders.

There is a somewhat funny bug I discovered in Win98. Here is mixed Win98SE/WinXPProSP1 cluster which uses the server running under Win2k3 Enterprise as file-sharing server. And _sometimes_ PC with Win98 just couldn't get access to shared folders. It is just said "network name does not exists" or "remote computer does not respond". Note, that either server's IP is pinging just great, or telnet connects perfectly. But... there can be 5, 10, 20, 2 hours delay, until the _file-sharing_ could be accessed.
Minor solution of this trouble i found is to reboot the PC, _and_ run any good file-manager, which can work with network drives (Far Manager working just fine). Far successfuly gets the access - and explorer after Far too - and after that there is no trouble. Well, at least until next day. But it is really ANNOYING. Could someone help? Please?
