Hello Sir/Madam, I have a Windows 98 SE system with 128 MB DDR ram, Celeron 1.7 ghz. Recently when I installed a game and ran it, it showed a message that that game required 32MB of Video mem and I couldnt run the game as I had some 8 MB Video mem. Now, how do i upgrade it to 32 MB of Video mem? Is there any download feature for it? (I think mine is that Intel 82845 graphics controller) Thanking You, Sudhindra

if im not mistaken the only way to fulfill the game's requirement would be to purchase and install a better graphics card.

First question, do you currently have a video graphics card or the video adapter integrated into the system board?

If it is a video graphics card, then some of them have empty sockets that additional video memory can be added to. Expensive and hard to find the correct memory IC's.

If the video graphics card is integrated into the system board, then most likely it uses shared system memory. If that is the case, then using BIOS CMOS Setup you might be able to change the amount of system memory that the video is allowed to use for its memory.
