I have a 40 gb hard disk.of these I have kept 30 gb for windows 98 and 10gb for fedora core 3.I have also partitioned 30 gb windows 98 to include three drives c:,d: and e:. Initially I had red hat linux 9 installed where fedora core 3 is now installed. When red hat linux 9 was installed I did not see any extra hard disk drive in windows 98 but after installing fedora 3 I see an extra drive in windows 98 thus showing total 40gb .this 40 gb contains 10gb partition of linux. I would like to know how can I remove this drive from windows without loosing my fedora.Kindly help

If all you want to do is fix it so you can't see the other partition, download and
install TweakUI (if you don't already have it). On Windows 98 it will be located
in the control panel. Open TweakUI, select the My Computer tab and uncheck the drive
letter that corresponds to the partition you don't want to see.

Hi Stephen; I hadn't actually used TweakUI, but based on your post here, I recommended it to another forum poster & it didn't work for them. When you have some time, can you read through entire this thread/post

http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/win98/t1121050995

to give me an idea of why it didn't work...i.e. Explain to me relative of hiding drives, TweakUI works for... e.g is Tweak UI limited to certain types of DOS extended partitions ? Maybe it has to have a formatted partition, etc? I read what little I found at Microsoft & didn't see details. Sounds like you've had some experience with this freeware tool, so i thought i'd ask ... Thanks, Camile
