Help. Open link in new window does not work

Hi,
I have a problem with Internet Explorer. When I click on a link that should open
in a new window or right click for 'open link in new window' a new window opens but
nothing appears in the address bar and nothing loads.
I am running IE6 with SP1. I have tried resetting the defaults in the internet options
and I have run the IE repair tool, but it has not helped.
Thanks,
Georgia.

Hmmm.
If you replaced the new DLLs with the old DLLs, that should have worked.

This will work:
Enter the following command from the Start/Run box and press 'ENTER'.
You will be prompted if the command was successful. regsvr32 Urlmon.dll (note
the space)
If the repair and registering the dll doesn't resolve the problem, run this Microsoft
MC
REPAIR patch.
The patch will install older versions of files that are compatible with Win98.
Answer YES when prompted to replace the files.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I followed the instructions there,
and got error messages on some of the .dll files. But after running SFC and identifying
a few more files and restoring them, it seems to have worked.
Thanks again.
Georgia.

Thanks. I've got it fixed now, but I'll bear that in mind in future.
