How can I save my email messages, preferably in Word format? When I try to export them it comes up with an "error in initialising MAPI". I really want to put the folders in OE on to my flash drive.

Maria, If you just want them as text there is a small program that you can use called stripmail. It gets rid of the > characters that are sometimes found in mail and then pastes them in text format. Or you can paint them with your cursor and copy them and then paste them into word which would be a doc extension.Or you can just save them just as they are in a separate folder. http://www.dsoft.com.tr/stripmail/

You could use your thumb drive to keep a copy of all of your OE files with you. Just copy your OE data files to the drive. To find the location of your OE files: Open OE > Tools > Options > Maintenance: Click on "Store Folder" Note the location but do not change it unless you really need too. Browse for the files and copy to the Thumb Drive. You could then open the OE files on any computer. Just understand you should use the Thumb Drive for "READ ONLY" and that any changes to the email on the Thumb Drive will not be synched with the original OE Files.
