Now this is what I've been waiting for:

A (huge) update pack where you can clean install 9x and update it in one shot. (now that Windows Update is over with for Win9x O.S.'es)

Windows 9x Power Pack

********************************************

AMD Athlon 1.1 = 98SE & XP Home SP2 - 512 MB RAM

AMD Athlon64 3000 = 98SE & XP Pro SP2 - 1024 MB RAM (98SE RAM access limited to 768 MB)

IBM ThinkPad PIII 900 = 98SE & XP Pro SP2 - 384 MB RAM

Ever considered stripping out the **target=_blank ** part of the auto-generated links?
(That gives *open in new window* as an option--not a mandate.)

Note that this is UNofficial.

In the past, some installations of this UNofficial software results in a non bootable
machine.

Note that this is UNofficial.

Quite true, M$ wasn't nice enough to make one for us...

In the past, some installations of this UNofficial software results in a non-bootable machine.

In the past, more than a few people have had official software installation result in a non-bootable machine... >;^)

Is is certainly true that to get the best results out of this pack, you should be fairly experienced with using Windows 9x and have some idea of the functionality of the additional components and 'tweaks' that you choose to install.

That said, properly applied "unofficial software" such as 98Lite and 98SE TO ME can give you a faster, more stable and more secure machine than it is possible to get from the 'official' software/

Some genuine Microsoft updates turn a PC into a quivering mass of bits, and bytes.:)
