Assuming your computer has gradually slowed down over time the most likely culprits
are excess data files throughout the system, limited memory, and too many processes
running. So clean out the temp files, cookies, temp internet files, applog files,
startup items folder and go to IE Tools and select Internet Options and click on
Internet Files and select "off-line content" and delete. Finally, go to Start/Run
and enter "msconfig". Open the startup tab and uncheck processes like Taskmon, Photoshop,
printer, office, photoshop, etc. Do a search on this forum for which startup items
to keep - be careful! This fix has been posted many, many times. Finally, there's
the time-worn fix of running defrag and upgrading your memory.

WARNING! Your computer is infected with malware. Your dial-up internet connection
has been hijacked by a porn dialer or some other hijacker program.
You have been diverted to a very expensive premium rate phone number, instead of
dialling your ISP. Go to START > SETTINGS > CONTROL PANEL > DIAL-UP NETWORKING and
delete the premium rate connection icon.
Then run Internet Explorer and go to TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > CONNECTIONS and select
your real ISP as your default internet connection.
You need to download some programs to clean the infection out of your computer. AdAware
from LavaSoft is a good choice, at http://www.lavasoftusa.com
Also download and install the program Spybot Search and Destroy at http://www.spybot.info
