I hardly have any color at all. I've tried changing the settings, but every time I turn on the computer, The settings are back on 16. I wish that I knew what the settings were before! I've had problems with freezing and I think that that is part of the problem. Sometimes ctrl< alt [Reply or follow-up to this message]

You probably just need to reinstall your video/graphics drivers.

If the problem just started within the last several days, you could try restoring
a 'good' registry backup dated prior to this problem. There are only 5 backups by
default.

Start/Shutdown, choose Restart in MS DOS mode, or reboot and press the CTRL key,
just before Windows loads, until you get the boot menu. Choose Command prompt only.

At the C:\> type: scanreg /restore Press enter. A good backup will have the
word "Started" before it. Choose a date prior to this problem. Then hit Enter. You
should get a message that Windows successfully restored the registry. Then CTRL_ALT_DEL
to get back into Windows.
