Win 98 in this Comp uses Int Expl 5.5. Bank of America's On-Line banking service
will discontinue use of 5.5 on July,15 2007. How can I uinstall 5.5 and install
Int Expl 6.0 or (later??) or Firefox?

IE 5.5 is seriously outdated anyway, but all you need to do is upgrade to ver. 6
SP1. Just install over the top. IE can't be uninstalled by normal means. It's tightly
integrated into Windows.
As for Firefox, it uses quite a bit of memory. You might try Opera instead. Many
prefer it over FF.

Hi Carol ! Thanks for your prompt, courteous, and
very informative response. (Your number 29867 !!)
Will load both IE 6 SP1 and Opera and go from there.
Thanks again for your help here as well as many in past.

Hey Cas, I haven't seen you around for awhile, so you must be keeping on top of things!
I kinda thought you were the "Cas" I knew from long ago.
I'm a Firefox fan myself, but for speed Opera's better. Still I would hate to have
you miss out on at least trying Firefox. Of course, there's no rule against having
both installed.
Your system may be up to speed? I shouldn't assume every 98 user is running an antique
with only 64 MB RAM installed... or, are you? LOL

Hi Carol J, Yup same Cas and still appreciating your and others help with problems.
Thanks for the followup info. Have added memory etc to 98, but have 2000
upgraded, which seems to cover my present needs.
I still have your html CAROL pen and quill saved on a floppy!!! Thanks again.
