CD drawer won't stay in

Whenever I try to burn a CD, the drawer which contains the CD will not stay in, it
keeps popping out, making it impossible to burn a CD. Thanks for your help.

What's this got to do with Windows 98, the topic of this forum? Maybe your drive
is defective.

I have a Windows 98 computer that came with Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4. Does that
entitle me to post on this forum?

It's just that your problem isn't OS related. Your problem is your CD drive, and
I don't know how you think we can solve that through the forum.
Btw, because you're running 'such and such' software on a 98 system doesn't make
it relevant.

So sorry for being so naive. I don't know what an OS is. Since you have answered
my question, (a problem with the CD drive) I don't know how you would think I would
know that... until I posted the query. BTW, just because you know what the problem
is, doesn't make your pretentiousness relevent. Thanks anyway.

I apologize, Lance. I assumed it was obvious that it's something with your CD drive
(drawer), since you said so yourself. I wasn't trying to be smart.
I don't know exactly what the problem is, there may be some other reason it doesn't
stay closed. An OS is an operating system, like Windows 98. I apologize for "assuming"
so much.

Have you tried more than one CD-R?
