If you do a search for those and double-click on Appwiz.cpl this should open the Add/Remove. If it doesn't then there is something corrupt in the registry. How long as it had this problem? You could download Ccleaner its free, that has an Add/Remove section. That may be what the questioner meant. TweakUI.cpl can delete the remnant reference.
