Running XP Programs on 98?

Hi, does anyone know of a way to play Oblivion for Windows XP on my Windows 98 PC? I refuse to upgrade my OS but I'd also like to play Oblivion. I have all the requirements except the XP OS, there must be a work around to make it run.

If the spec says Win2k or XP then it won't run on Win98. Unless your HD is big enough
to partition and have two operating systems on it.

You haven't said which version of Oblivion you are trying to use, there are quite
a few out there.

Your naivety is showing.
Your lack of knowledge WRT the ways of The
Borg is quite obvious.

Micros~1 is miserable at chosing names for their products ("Word", "Office", etc).[1]
Just because a product has "Windows" in its name
DOESN'T mean it is compatible with others with "Windows" in their names.
There are 3 distinct bloodlines--each with its own codebase:

[1] MSFT missed the whole *Internet* thing
and ended up playing catch-up with those who did "get" it.
That and their (resulting) generic, not-easily-Googled product names
is clear evidence that M$ is NOT "visionary"
as so many clueless people claim them to be.

[2] ...not to mention variations WITHIN a bloodline.

In short: READ THE *MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* FOR THE ITEM YOU WANT TO PURCHASE
--AND BELIEVE IT.
